THE OLD CEDAR BAR SHOW
At the historic Cedar Bar in June, 1992, Brooklyn's Troov Gallery hosted Margaret Randall, artists, writers, fans and families in a gala tribute to the Old Cedar Bar, the legendary hangout where Bill DeKooning, Jackson Pollack, Franz Kline, Hans Hoffmann, Robert Motherwell, Larry Rivers and others held court. In this commemorative show of Randall's writings and E.J. Gold's paintings, the two artists reminisced about and paid homage to that rich and thriving period in the fifties and sixties where they as young and impressionable artists gratefully soaked in the rich influence of the Cedar Bar greats.
