In 1985
E.J. Gold set up his lithograph studio in his garage. Assisted by Barbara Haynes, Gold drew his lithographs in their plates, inked and squeegeed them himself, registering and pulling each color. Sometimes as many as eight colors were used. "The garage and then the framing studio up the hill were constantly draped in clotheslines full of drying artworks," remembers Rose Gander, frequent visitor to the studios.
