I did not enjoy that work of art. I disliked following rules and paint by the numbers was one of them. It is strange though that I have spent many long years since then absorbed in numbers via engineering, math, and computers leaving art and painting behind.

But over the years I have placed my "art vision" in nature and photography. After the initial years of photographic effort I came to enjoy the abstractions of color and patterns to be found in nature. I tailored outdoors enthusiasm towards discovering art in nature and then attempting to capture it photographically.

You know — it often only lasts for a brief instance, and then it is often where you don't look, and then the art of discovering a new and different way of viewing what is in front of you, both macro and micro and micro within micro — Wow, what a hit!

It is fun to photograph something natural, and have it appear, once having been framed and zoomed in or out or whatever, as a painting or "work of art!" It is the art of discovery. It has always been there! But now my legs don't take me where my photographs want to go... And so, here I am, once again, as that kid but without the numbers — just a beginner (both "yes" and "no") — painting to discover what my vision can see!
